Small, weight is okay (a solid lock weighs, but this one works), size is sufficient to secure a wheel, mount is easy to install. Price fits.

I bought the lock 2x (once for me and my friend) and we are both very happy with it.
So far I can not imagine a better bike lock and I hope that stays that way :)

Still my bike is not stolen, I have the feeling to have bought a decent and quite safe bicycle lock.

Great lock, which I trust very much. Fits perfectly. The mount is OK, had to attach it to my handlebar and it's fine. You have great flexibility and good protection.
Matthew
An outstanding choice, it is convenient for the ranger to attach it to the frame.
The additional cable is an additional protection to protect the wheels and helmet.
The spinning wheel can be useful in preventing rain from infiltrating into the key mechanism (and thus preventing it from rusting) Cheap compared to other products and products on sale in conventional trade.
I hope it will last in time.

The lock is about. 1 Kg and light weight, the handle is covered with rubber and is therefore well protected from the weather.
The cylinder hole can be practically protected from wet by a small rotation, with the 180 cm long metal cable it is possible to secure 2 bicycles and attach it to an illuminating mast or traffic sign to protect it from theft.
I mounted the iron fastening to my saddle bar, since it disturbs me the least, there are 2 different large screws to fasten it either to the thick middle holm or to the narrower holm.
I have not noted any negative impressions here at the moment. If I notice something negative over time, I will comment on this here and change the evaluation accordingly.

Buy this padlock because I'm living in a town where getting your bicycle robbed is fashionable.
A steel lock with a U form comes in the package with three buttons and also provides a 1'80 cm braided steel cord with which we can maintain the wheels secure as well.
Both the U-lock and the braided cable are made of steel and covered with rubber to avoid scratching the bicycle, it has the right size and weight to be able to transport it easily in any bicycle with a plastic support that is also included with your screws in the package.
As for quality-price, it looks like a nice buy and completely fulfills its purpose.

Someone broke into my daughter's school. And they couldn't break the lock to steal it, my daughters bike was the only one left. Even the police were impressed and asked for the lock's name as I believe they could advise the lock at the bicycle security conferences.

Very nice road bicycle U lock. The length of the U-shape is sufficient to lock the frame and the rear wheel to the ground cemented rack, and the cable is also sufficiently long to lock the front wheel.
Honestly I believe if someone wants to steel the bicycle he'll use instruments to cut the cable or U-lock itself, but to do that he'll need instruments and also it'll be loud. without instruments the bicycle has better opportunities to survive and remain with me for a lengthy moment. Lock is pretty heavy, so I'll leave it locked in the bike rack most of the moment at work.
I'd certainly suggest it to buy!

It looks strong. Not super heavy and operates very smoothly with the locking mechanism. Spare key is lovely, and the cable is long enough to catch both front and back wheels on my XL hybrid, so I'm sure you're going to do whatever you need. The portion that attaches to your bicycle to keep the lock, as others have said, is absolute garbage, and since that's a significant component of what you're paying for, I'm just giving it 2 stars in hopes that the manufacturer will fix this problem.
To apologize, the manufacturers approached me and sent me a whole fresh lock. The fresh mounting piece looks strong and the 30 miles of commuting I did on it have survived so far. I even had to take a detour around a train that had stopped and traveled on some rough terrain that was very hot. I definitely felt every bump on my 32 mm tires without any suspension, but the mount remained strong.

These locks are very appropriate. The cost was ok and it looks great for the quality. One for my partner and one for me. He dropped his key in the water at the dock next to our ship, meaning he's down to one key.
The other day I saw this lock on sale but didn't order another one like I should have. If it goes on sale again, I'll get another lock from my partner and use his old one to lock a shopping cart to one of those people's door handles that take up two parking spaces to defend their lovely vehicles from the unwashed mass. A spare key, or even one key, would not be needed for this alternative implementation.
Update: My partner dropped one of the keys to his lock in the water next to our ship, as I stated above. When Via Velo's folks read my review, they approached me instantly for my mailing address and key code. They're working well. I had the new keys in less than a week so now, if my partner dropped his remaining key in the drink, we don't have to worry about breaking the hacksaw.
Since I wrote my initial review, I used this lock dozens of times and I looked at the other bicycles with the $100 locks on them when I locked my bicycle at the gym and I can not see the difference between those locks and my Via Velo lock. When you add the apparent dedication of this business to customer service to the quality of the product, I'm excited about what other products these folks could offer.

In the world, there is no bike lock that can't be defeated with the right tools in less than a minute. All you can really hope for is to make it difficult to get to your bike than next to you. If you use this lock correctly with the u-lock around the rack, through the frame and the back wheel, and the cable through the front wheel, it will definitely stop the thief. The u-lock is quite strong and both ends of the bolt are attached to the lock mechanism. The cable is large enough that it takes bigger cable cutters to get through.

The 15 mm version (this one is 14 mm) was purchased from Via Velo after being very happy with their other item. Wanted for my commuter bike something slightly lighter. That fits perfectly with the bill. Their heavier-duty one is slightly shorter. It is best to get your bicycle as close as possible to any permanent fixture to which you lock it.
Oddly, on this one, my one issue with the 15 mm version seems to be corrected. That's because the accessory cable is too short. The cable is about 2 feet longer on this one, the 14 mm lock, which really helps.
Not really a complaint, but more of a recommendation to the manufacturer / seller: Provide some kind of color coding or other way to distinguish key. Not a problem if you only buy one lock. But for those of us with a few, it's easy to mix keys that look identical.

This weekend my bike was robbed. The lock did the work and kept it tight. To get my bike, the person had to break the rack.
I'm very fortunate that the man who stole my bicycle was captured by the police and I received it back. The lock held tight, and while the guy damaged the lock, the police spent some time and after a while breaking the lock with the right tools and leverage. I'm really happy with it because I wouldn't have my bike without it.
